Effects of lipids on the activity of DNA polymerases

Lipids are an important structural and functional elements of the system of cell membranes. As a component of both the cytoplasm and the nucleus affect intracellular processes. The observed in vitro damping effect of isolated and purified DNA polymerases, DNA metabolism-related free fatty acids, complex lipids, and the lipid peroxidation products may be part of the mechanism for controlling cell proliferation and cell differentiation in vivo.
