Follicular dendritic cells development and function

Follicular dendritic cells (follicular dendritic cells, FDC) are distinct antigen-presenting cells, and are different from the dendritic cells of myeloid origin, function and the presence of different surface markers. FDC occur within the zone B cell follicles of secondary lymphoid organs and play a very important role in the development of germinal centers have the ability to capture antigen-antibody complexes, which for a long time (months or even years) may remain on the surface.
