Glioblastoma multiforme - GBM (glioblastoma multiforme Latin) is a malignant tumor derived from glial tissue. The average length of survival of patients with this type of tumor treated with radiotherapy and surgery, is about one year. High invasiveness of glioblastoma multiforme results from abnormal intracellular signal transduction pathway associated with kinases PI3K, Akt / PKB and mTOR, which are responsible for the regulation of proliferation, differentiation and cell survival.
