Optimization methods for the isolation and expansion of CD 34 + cells of umbilical cord blood

The aim of this study was to optimize the expansion of cells of the monocyte-macrophage lineage to the potential need for experimental and therapeutic. Compared various cell fractions were subjected to expansion (more or less enriched in CD34 + cells), the optimal composition of the growth factors and serum cytokines, and which is incorporated into the culture medium.

New aspects of human hematopoietic cell transplant of hematopoietic

Hematopoietic stem cells ( KKM ) are able to renew the transplant patient's hematopoietic system . Renewal is preceded by their implantation ( called homing ) in the hematopoietic microenvironment of the bone marrow . Mechanisms regulating cell implantation in the bone marrow are therefore one of the issues on which they focus research hematologists clinical and experimental studies. Adhesion molecules are identified , proteolytic enzymes and chemotactic factors involved in cell engraftment after transplantation.
