This article is devoted to the scientific achievements of Professor Miroslaw Mossakowski, who died a year ago an eminent neuroscientist-neuropathologist, a longtime director of the Centre for Experimental and Clinical Medicine, Polish Academy of Sciences, from 1998 until the death of the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
