PHYTOCHEMISTRY, NUTRITIONAL AND MEDICINAL VALUE OF OLIVE

Olive (Olea europaea) exists majorly in Mediterranean areas, various parts of Africa and tropical & central Asia. It can be used as a food, for clinical purpose, and it also plays an important role in cosmetic field. The importance of this plant has also been described by the last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). Olive plant has complex botanical parts which include tree, fruit, leaf, branches and bark. The olive majorly comprised of three kinds of chemical compounds i.e., oleic acid, phenolics and squalene.

PHYTOCHEMISTRY, NUTRITIONAL AND MEDICINAL IMPORTANCE OF ALMOND

Almond belongs to the Rosaceae family commonly known as Prunus dulcis. Almond kernel extract contains phytochemicals as well as fatty acids, phenolic acids, phenolic compounds, flavonoids, phytosterols and vitamins. The major fatty acids were linoleic acid (15.43%) and oleic acid (76.23%). These outcomes show that almond extraction is a rich source of fatty acids, soluble lipid vitamins, phytosterols, flavonoids, phenolic compounds. Moreover, these results are important in the science of nutrition, because these chemicals seem to have a significant health effect.

PHYTOCHEMISTRY, NUTRITIONAL AND MEDICIANL VALUE OF KIWI FRUIT

Current studies were performed to review the phytochemistry, nutritional and medicinal value of kiwi (Actinidia deliciosa). Kiwi is one of the richest sources of vitamin C, vitamin E along with folate, phenolic compounds, dietary fibers, and sufficient amount of essential minerals including zinc, copper, potassium so rate as a, highly healthy food. Having immense amount of vitamin C, it is highly recommended for bones and teeth issues, also to heart patients to avoid narrowing of arteries.

PHYTOCHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF MORINGA OLEIFERA ITS NUTRITIONAL AND PHARMACOLOGICAL IMPORTANCE

Moringa oleifera is regarded as a multipurpose plant. It is an excellent source of nutrients, natural energy booster and a nature’s medicine cabinet. This plant contains numerous important compounds e.g., glucose, rhamnose, glucosinolates, isothiocyanates, methionine, cysteine, tryptophan, phenylalanine, lysine, histidine, isoleucine, leucine, valine, alanine, threonine, glycine, glutamic acid and aspartic acid. It is used a food in many countries because it is rich in important nutrients including vitamins (A, B and K), minerals (K, Ca, Zn, Fe, P).
