GFP green fluorescent protein Structure and Properties

In the last 10 years, the green fluorescent protein GFP (Green Fluorescent Protein) from Aequorea victoria stułbiopława found numerous applications in cell biology and molecular biology. It is particularly suitable because of the stability of the tertiary structure and the fact that the chromophore is formed by autocatalytic cyclization of amino acids, for which participation is not required cofactors except any oxygen molecules.
